Sicily: Pepino, his nickname, only went to the third grade. He was left
handed and the nuns, God bless them, would smack his left hand with a
stick to make him use his right hand. He would go to the beach instead
of school. His sister, Margaret, who also did not like school, would
bring him food to the beach. Pepino's mother would say, ""Pepino, you are
blind."" He would respond, ""No I'm not mama. I can see."" She would say,
""You're blind because you can't see what you are missing by NOT going to
school."" per his sister, Margaret.
According to his niece, Catherine Floreno LaRose, who as told by her
mother Anna, Pepino got a few lickings from his dad also for skipping
school.

+1920 His family may have stayed with brother Dominic at first.

+1920 first residence was 2206 Concord, Detroit, MI a duplex shared with
his father and mother, and brother Vincent and sisters Margaret and Anna.

+1945 bought home at 4618 Three Mile Drive, Detroit, MI and moved his
family there. His last residence.

+1986 Death Certificate shows Cardiopulmonary Arrest, Staphylococcus
Pneumonia, Parkinson's Disease as cause of death.

+STORE: brother Dominic retired 1949, brother-in-law Joe Floreno retired
in 1958, Joseph and his brother Vincent retired in 1969. They sold the
store to the clearners next store. It later became a grocery store again
and was torn down about 1990.
